Inaugural Kentucky Ice Hockey Collective Classic to Benefit Youth Hockey in Kentucky and Beyond

Lexington, KY – The Kentucky Ice Hockey Collective, in partnership with the Urban Hockey Foundation, is proud to announce the Inaugural Kentucky Ice Hockey Collective Classic Tournament, a three-day adult hockey competition dedicated to growing the game and supporting youth hockey programs in underserved communities.

Scheduled for April 17-19, 2026, at the Lexington Ice Center, this event will feature two competitive divisions (B and C levels), team and individual awards, and a closing ceremony to celebrate the tournament champions. In addition to on-ice action, participants will enjoy a tailgate at Keeneland Race Course and a Saturday evening party to bring the hockey community together.

Proceeds from the tournament will directly benefit Central Kentucky Youth Hockey and the Punta Arenas Youth Hockey Association, furthering the mission of the Urban Hockey Foundation (UHF) to provide access to hockey for players of all backgrounds.

The Urban Hockey Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit, works to eliminate barriers to hockey by providing financial support, equipment, and training programs to underserved communities across the U.S. and internationally. Through initiatives in countries such as Kenya, Mongolia, and Argentina, UHF continues to expand access to the sport while fostering values of teamwork, leadership, and perseverance.

As an official UHF partner, the Kentucky Ice Hockey Collective shares this vision, working to develop and support youth hockey programs both locally and globally. Recent outreach efforts have brought equipment donations and skills coaching to communities in Mexico and Costa Rica, with plans to further their impact in the years ahead.

Teams and individual players interested in participating can register now.

Sponsorship opportunities are also available.
